Assembly Technician

The Assembly Technician will be responsible for carrying out and performing technical and non-technical build tasks for Vehicles and Subsystems in the RDA production facility in Brisbane. The role requires close collaboration with a Mechanic to ensure high-quality results.
Main Responsibilities- Assemble vehicles and subsystems in accordance with Manufacturing Instructions, Engineering Drawings, Quality Standards, and WH&S requirements;
- Perform rework assembly tasks including fitting protection plates, brackets, and electronic subassemblies/cables/labels;
- Support vehicle build tasks including all assembly tasks in the production sequence from hull to finished vehicle;
- Assist with vehicle movements within the facility in accordance with site rules and licencing requirements;
- Operate cranes and perform lifting tasks in accordance with safe working instructions;
- Maintain the safe and efficient storage of required parts, tools, and equipment in workshop areas;
- Experience as a Trade Assistant or in a Production environment;
- Ability to read and interpret production drawings, manuals, and technical documents;
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to task planning and effective time management, proven ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines;
- A high level of self-motivation, initiative, the ability to work unsupervised, and willingness to participate and contribute as part of a team;
- Must hold or be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (must hold Australian Citizenship).
