About our Client:

Our client in Helidon is a leading provider of explosives and blasting solutions to the mining industry. With a strong emphasis on safety, full training will be provided during your day shifts. After training, you'll transition to a 7-day rotating roster, balancing work and time off every fortnight.

What we're looking for:

  • Experience in assembly or manufacturing, especially with machinery, is highly regarded but not essential. Great hand-eye coordination, the ability to work quickly, and a strong focus on safety are key attributes for this role.

In addition:

  • You must be reliable and respectful towards others
  • Demonstrate a positive and motivated work ethic
  • Attention to detail is crucial with a high level of accuracy required
  • You should be willing to learn and be trained for success
  • Mechanical aptitude is an advantage
  • You must be able to display a high level of dexterity
  • You must be able to obtain an Explosives Licence including a high level Police Clearance
  • You should have a reliable car and current drivers licence.

About the role:

  • This position will focus on running the EBS machine and associated work stations
  • Set up and operate equipment in accordance with work instructions & procedures
  • Loading coiled wire onto machinery
  • Crimping of detonators onto wire assembly
  • Packing assembled product in to boxes in required formats
  • Quality & inspections and recording
  • Perform basic mathematical equations and basic report writing
  • Ensure all operations are performed to procedures and WHS and environmental requirements
