Assembly Technician

Rheinmetall Defence Australia Pty Ltd in Brisbane is seeking a skilled professional to join our team as an Assembly Technician.
The estimated annual salary for this role is around $85,000-$95,000 AUD, depending on experience and qualifications.
About the RoleThis position involves carrying out technical and non-technical build tasks for Vehicles and Subsystems in our RDA production facility in Redbank (QLD) under the supervision of a Mechanic.
As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for completing assembly tasks in first-run production in accordance with Manufacturing Instructions, Engineering Drawings, Quality Standards, and WH&S requirements.
Main Responsibilities- Assist with assembly tasks for the L400 Phase 2 Boxer vehicles and other vehicles in accordance with Manufacturing Instructions, Engineering Drawings, Quality Standards, and WH&S requirements;
- Assist with rework assembly tasks including fitting protection plates, brackets and electronic subassemblies/cables/labels;
- Support vehicle build tasks including all assembly tasks in the production sequence from hull to finished vehicle;
- Assist with vehicle movements within the facility in accordance with site rules and licencing requirements;
- Perform crane operation and lifting tasks in accordance with safe working instructions;
- Maintain the safe and efficient storage of required parts, tools and equipment in the workshop areas;
- Work in accordance with company and site specific WH&S requirements; and
- Other duties and responsibilities that may be required as determined with your manager from time to time.

Requirements- Experience as a Trade Assistant or in a Production environment;
- Ability to read and interpret production drawings, manuals, and technical documents;
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to task planning and effective time management proven ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines;
- A high level of self-motivation, initiative, the ability to work unsupervised and willingness to participate and contribute as part of a team; and
- Must hold or be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (must hold Australian Citizenship).
