We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in delivering expert care in one of the hospital's most specialized surgical wards.
Job Description:
As an Advanced Wound Care Specialist, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team including surgeons, allied health professionals, and specialist nurses to contribute to collaborative care planning that prioritizes holistic support and optimizes patient outcomes.
- Develop specialist expertise in advanced wound care, including the use of negative-pressure therapy and the management of complex dressings.
- Support patients through diabetic foot care and limb preservation strategies, while also delivering oxygen therapy and overseeing post-surgical recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of care plans that prioritize patient-centered care.
- Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care and ensure seamless communication and handovers.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge and skills in advanced wound care and sharing best practices with the team.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Strong communication and engagement skills with patients, carers, and colleagues.
- Professionalism, empathy, and the ability to resolve conflict constructively.
- Evidence-based clinical decision-making and critical thinking.

Our hospital is a major health service for south-western Sydney, providing services to the local government area of Liverpool City Council as well as district services to residents and visitors in the area.
