Counsellor for Children and Young People

CatholicCare Tasmania is seeking a skilled School Counsellor to join our team in the North of Tasmania.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will provide child-focused, therapeutic counselling to students using developmentally appropriate, evidence-based models of intervention. They will work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to support the mental health and wellbeing of students.
Selection Criteria
We are looking for a counsellor with:
- Experience in therapeutic counselling for children and young people
- Ability to work autonomously and exercise professional judgement
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, or a related discipline
- Current Working with Vulnerable People registration
