About the Role

Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated trainee therapist to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). As a trainee therapist, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in working with children and young people with complex mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • To work with children and young people with complex mental health needs in a child-focussed multi-agency setting.
  • To assess, plan, implement and evaluate treatment for children and young people.
  • To work in a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency setting, collaborating with other professionals to provide high-quality care.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Level 6 qualification, and a core profession recognised by BABCP.
  • Experience of working with children and adolescents with complex mental health needs in a child-focussed multi-agency setting.
  • Experience of working in multi-disciplinary and multi-agency settings.

Training and Development

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to undertake a training programme at the University of Exeter, specifically designed for this role. This will equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to provide interventions based on CYP-IAPT core principles and evidence-based interventions.
