Job Summary

Acciona Energia is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Compliance Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring environmental and planning compliance across our renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and ensure environmental and planning compliance, primarily for current operations but also across other phases such as development and construction, while adhering to EPBC, permits, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide strategic advice on environmental and planning matters.
  • Conduct site audits, preparing detailed audit reports and tracking action items in consultation with site personnel.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local, state, and federal government officials, as well as community representatives.
  • Develop, maintain, and update Environmental Management Plans (EMPs), while coordinating specialist consultants to handle cultural heritage, landscaping, and avifauna management.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Management, Environmental Planning, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant experience managing operational management plans, conducting internal audits, and delivering regulatory reporting.
  • Strong understanding of Australian environmental obligations and EPBC regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate successful planning outcomes with key government and non-government stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Current driver's license and willingness to travel to sites on an ad-hoc basis.
