Renewables Environmental Approvals Specialist

We are seeking experienced environmental impact assessment professionals to lead our team in Melbourne (hybrid working available). As a senior leader, you will play a key role in ensuring major projects are developed sustainably and environmentally responsibly, focusing on renewable energy projects in onshore and offshore environments.
You will be supported by a large cohort of industry-leading technical specialists and environmental professionals. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior professional looking to advance their career with a global environmental leader.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead EIS/EES projects and approvals strategies on major projects, both offshore and onshore.
- Manage projects within scope and budget, maintaining exceptional team and stakeholder relationships.
- Collaborate with technical team leads to deliver superior outcomes for clients.
- Support Account Directors in maintaining client relationships and developing new business opportunities.
- Mentor junior team members to develop their skills.
Requirements:
- 10+ years' experience in environmental planning and impact assessments, including 5+ years' experience in environmental consulting.
- Demonstrated experience in Commonwealth and Victorian environmental legislation and their application to complex projects.
- Excellent project management skills, including budgeting, resourcing, scheduling, risk management, and communications.
- Demonstrated experience in building and sustaining relationships with clients, stakeholders, and teams.
- Tertiary degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Planning, or a related discipline.
- Authorisation to work in Australia.
