The Social Work Lecturer will play a crucial role in developing, improving, and delivering the program while ensuring compliance with the Higher Education Standards Framework. This individual will be responsible for creating a high-quality, learner-centric experience and mapping to the units delivered in the program.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and conducting face-to-face teaching and learner engagement sessions, as well as learning materials.
  • Creating learning materials, including study guides, webinars, and assessment instructions for assigned subjects.
  • Providing learning assistance to learners via various modes, such as face-to-face, online, or via email.
  • Encouraging learner engagement and participation in their studies.
  • Marking learner assessments according to assessment and moderation policies.
  • Identifying and liaising with learners at risk, establishing individual learning plans as needed.
  • Maintaining subject sites on the Learning Management System.
Requirements:
  • A PhD in Social Work (completed or in progress) or a Masters in Social Work with 5 years of teaching experience.
  • Eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
  • Demonstrated experience in developing tertiary subject curricula and teaching materials.
  • Ability to coordinate and administer the successful delivery of tertiary subjects.
  • High professional and ethical conduct, resilience, and a collaborative approach to teaching and industry engagement.
  • A strong understanding of social work theory and practice.
  • Eligibility for membership of the AASW.
