Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced educator to join our team as a Lecturer of Master of Social Work (Qualifying). The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development, improvement and delivery of the Master of Social Work program while ensuring compliance with the Higher Education Standards Framework.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Teaching and Student Engagement: Develop and conduct face-to-face teaching and student engagement sessions and learning materials.
  • Learning Materials: Develop learning materials including study guides, webinars, and assessment instructions for assigned subjects.
  • Study Assistance: Provide study assistance to students in various modes.
  • Student Engagement: Encourage student engagement and participation in studies.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Mark student assessments in accordance with assessment and moderation policies.
  • Support and Guidance: Identify and support students at risk and establish individual learning plans as needed.
Requirements:
  • A PhD in Social Work (completed or in progress) or a Master's in Social Work with 5 years of teaching experience.
  • Eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
  • Demonstrated experience in developing tertiary subject curricula and teaching materials.
  • Ability to coordinate and administer the successful delivery of tertiary subjects.
  • High professional and ethical conduct, resilience, and a collaborative approach to teaching and industry engagement.
  • Strong understanding of social work theory and practice.
