About You

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Buyer & Product Coordinator to join our small and close-knit design team. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of buying experience or a similar related role, with a passion for slow fashion and retail.

The successful candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Fashion, Marketing, or Business, and strong communication skills (written/verbal). They will also have high-level experience using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the head designer with product and design development
  • Work with the designer to constantly push to improve the Kuwaii product, sales, and brand
  • Assist with selection, development, and sourcing of fabrications and trims
  • Manage product development with contractors, including in-house patternmaking
  • Adhere to and meet key timelines
  • Run and participate in fitting sessions and approve final samples
  • Contribute to costing estimates
  • Assist with photoshoots, ensuring all products are photographed with running sheets
  • Manage the critical path from product conception to delivery to store
  • Work with the production team to ensure timely delivery to store
  • Design specification sheets and detailed sketches
  • Conduct consistent local and internet market research on similar brands
  • Build, expand, and execute ranges with the head designer
  • Manage brand launches
  • Assist the marketing team with executing and implementing promotions, including launches, product releases, and social media campaigns
  • Analyze industry and consumer trends
  • Support and work with retail and e-commerce to hit sales targets
