Job Title: Chief Systems Architect
This role is critical in driving business growth, optimizing system performance and ensuring efficient project delivery. The jobholder will apply systems engineering principles and practices to improve the design, integration and operation of water infrastructure.
The Servers Planning Water team supports water projects and seeks a dedicated and skilled Senior Systems Engineer across Water to join the infrastructure business unit. This role provides technical expertise in design, system planning and infrastructure investigation, supporting business decisions and enabling sustainable growth.
This is a key position that requires technical expertise, excellent analytical skills and strong communication skills. The successful candidate will have experience in applying systems engineering principles to complex infrastructure or utility projects, with a proven ability to identify inefficiencies and drive process improvements.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Implementing structured systems engineering methodologies to optimize project design, integration and lifecycle management.
- Developing and refining engineering processes to enhance project execution, reduce costs and improve delivery timelines.
- Identifying and implementing strategies to embed systems engineering processes in the project lifecycle and support team adoption of these practices.
- Utilizing data analytics and system modeling tools to inform design decisions, optimize asset performance and improve operational efficiencies.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, electrical engineering or related field, with relevant project experience.
- Demonstrated experience in applying systems engineering principles to complex infrastructure or utility projects.
- Proven ability to identify inefficiencies and drive process improvements.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
