About Our Organization

We are seeking an experienced professional to serve as our District Police Chief. In this critical role, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising the operation of our district sworn police force and security functions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in law enforcement, with experience in managing enforcement of laws on campus and coordinating police staff response to alarms and radio calls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and direction to our Police Department.
  • Manage enforcement of all laws on campus and coordinate police staff response to alarms and radio calls.
  • Supervise investigations of crimes and other violations occurring on our campuses and testify in court.
  • Plan, organize, supervise law enforcement activities, and operations of police, security, and parking personnel at all district sites.
Requirements
  • Licenses: Basic Patrol Arrest, Search and Seizure, and Rules of Evidence.
  • Certifications: Occupational Safety and Health.
  • Knowledge: Crowd Control Techniques and Standardized Emergency Management System.
Education and Experience
  • Graduation from a Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission-approved police officer training academy.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in administration of justice, police science, or a related field.
  • Seven years of increasingly responsible law enforcement experience, including two years in a supervisory or management capacity.
