Job Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned IT professional to join our team as a Senior Risk Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with extensive experience in managing IT risks and governance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive risk management strategies to mitigate potential threats to our organization.
  • Collaborate with the Enterprise Architect to align risk-mitigation plans with business objectives.
  • Establish clear remediation pathways for risks related to architecture, security, service quality, and other critical areas.
  • Enhance visibility of in-flight IT projects by introducing effective governance and reporting frameworks.
  • Provide regular updates to internal stakeholders on project progress and risk statuses.
  • Engage project stakeholders and communicate evidence-based information about project progress and IT risk management efforts.

Leadership:

  • Coach and support IT teams on risk and project management best practices, empowering team members to take ownership of risks and project delivery outcomes.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to IT Project Managers to implement project controls and facilitate improved delivery practices.
  • Promote a culture of accountability and transparency in issues management, risk escalation, and stakeholder communication.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10+ years of IT management experience, including a focus on governance and risk mitigation.
  • Strong background in IT risk management, project governance, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability to address procedural gaps with a pragmatic approach.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with a track record of building trust across diverse stakeholder groups.
