Community Engagement Specialist

Join us to deliver exceptional community engagement services for capital works projects. This role involves providing professional advice and support on diverse projects, ensuring full, open, and inclusive consultation with customers and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing and implementing engagement plans for capital projects.
  • Creating communication materials to support project delivery.
  • Managing external consultants and contractors responsible for community engagement.
  • Deciding on the right balance of engagement activities for projects.
  • Ensuring business requirements are met.
  • Maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Providing engagement support for other activities across the Resilient Communities team.

Our Community Engagement Specialist will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in writing and presenting information to various audiences. They will also have high-level interpersonal skills, experience in managing projects within allocated timeframe, and strong computer literacy using MS Office products.

The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about the IAP2 model and principles of engagement or equivalent. They will be a passionate and driven individual who thrives in a dynamic environment, fostering collaboration and work ethics, supported by career-focused learning and development opportunities.
