About the Role
Based in Melbourne, you will oversee daily operations in our shared home, leading and supervising a team of support workers. You will engage with family members and stakeholders, and work directly with participants to ensure they achieve their goals and remain connected to their community, culture, and loved ones.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and report on Growth Plans, ensuring alignment with our Strategic Growth Plan and agreed timelines and targets
- Build effective relationships with key SDA providers and referrers
- Implement a Vacancy Management process for individual vacancies and an Afterhours Service capacity that meets the needs of issues escalation and resolution
- Provide leadership responsibility to ensure the team performs to a high standard, and all governance, documentation, and reporting standards are met
- Deliver comprehensive monthly reports addressing expenditure, financial tracking, incident reporting, staffing, continuous improvement, and potential business development opportunities
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A Diploma of Community Services, Certificate IV in Disability or other relevant tertiary qualifications
- Youth work or related experience (A qualification is desirable but not essential for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants with relevant experience)
- Experience supporting people with disabilities, complex health needs, and those who exhibit pain-based behaviors of concern
- Ability to provide supervision and support to a team of Therapeutic Care Workers, to embed the delivery of therapeutic models of support to Children & Young People
- Strong working experience within the Specialist Disability Accommodation and NDIS sectors
