Overview of the RoleThe role of Team Leader is a pivotal position within our organisation, responsible for overseeing and guiding a diverse team of staff working across various services including youth services, reintegration, early intervention, and financial counselling services.
This position requires a strong leader and communicator who can work autonomously and collaboratively with Senior Management on long-term goals. The ideal applicant will have a therapeutic approach, with experience in dispute resolution and homelessness, as well as experience supervising employees.
Responsibilities of the Role- Providing guidance and support to staff by advising on complex cases and co-mediating.
- Building relationships with stakeholders, liaising with program stakeholders, and attending relevant meetings.
- Preparing reports, reviewing statistics, and contributing to management board reports.
- Offering regular management supervision and group case management reviews.
- Delivering training to staff on internal processes.
- Recognised qualifications in Justice, Psychology, Social Work/Sciences, Childhood Development, or related disciplines.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and working within a multidisciplinary team.
- Specialist knowledge of community services and service delivery.
- Experience in case management, report writing, tender writing, and coordination of client services.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Understanding of culturally appropriate approaches to client services.
- Ability to work under policies and procedures.
- Current driver's license and reliable vehicle for travel when required.
