Job Title: Junior Payment Operations Associate, Insurance

We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Payment Operations Associate, Insurance to join our team at Flywire. As a key member of our finance and operations team, you will play a crucial role in providing support for our international payments and health insurance businesses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Post financial data to our accounting system, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Enter, update, and retrieve accounting data from our systems, maintaining data integrity.
  • Reconcile transactions, financial data, and other information to our accounting system, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Manage our accounting software (NetSuite), ensuring efficient and effective use.
  • Assist with financial statement preparation, providing assurance about the accuracy of information contained in financial reports and their compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Classify and prepare tax returns, including BAS reporting.
  • Maintain internal control systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Verify policies billed against applications received, reconciling differences through follow-up with providers and other employees.
  • Manage insurance renewals and extensions, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Handle reconciliations, refunds, commissions, and daily, weekly, and monthly payments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Reconcile banking, invoicing, and credit card transactions, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Verify compliance with regulatory requirements, reporting any issues or concerns.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Conduct ad-hoc research activities, providing insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of relevant experience in an insurance, accounting, operations, or customer support focused position, ideally in the finance industry.
  • Attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and precision.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Customer focus, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Effective communication and escalation skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
  • Fluent English, written and spoken.
  • The ability to work independently, as well as part of a wider team.
  • Bachelor's degree in a finance or accounting related field.
