Job Title: Program Manager – Sustainability R&D

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic research initiatives to enhance the sustainability and profitability of the industry.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including livestock producers and research providers, to drive innovation and position the Australian industry as a world-leader in sustainability.
  • Lead a team of researchers and scientists to deliver impactful outcomes that benefit the industry's long-term sustainability and profitability.

Requirements:

  • At least 10 years of experience in R&D program management, preferably involving beef cattle and sheep in feedlot and/or grazing systems.
  • Strong knowledge of statistics, experimental design, business case development, and opportunity assessment is essential.
  • A proven track record of delivering outcomes that contribute significantly to the industry's sustainability and profitability is required.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the Australian red meat and livestock industry and be able to develop and implement strategies that drive sustainability and profitability.

This role involves leading a team of researchers and scientists to deliver research, development, and adoption activities nationally for the sheep and beef industries. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership and collaboration skills and be able to work effectively with various stakeholders.
