Job Description

The primary objective of this role is to spearhead sustainability and environmental initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive sustainability strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Advise on environmental regulations and compliance matters to ensure seamless execution of sustainability objectives.
  • Oversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of sustainability data from construction operations for strategic decision-making purposes.
  • Monitor and report key sustainability performance indicators to mitigate project risks and drive continuous improvement.
  • Nurture external relationships with industry associations, regulatory bodies, and intermediaries to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Embed sustainability principles into design, procurement, and operational processes to ensure long-term viability.
  • Coordinate with external sustainability consultants to leverage expertise and best practices.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in sustainability and environmental management within the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local environmental statutes and legislation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders effectively.
  • Ability to develop and implement initiatives that align with organizational vision and strategy.
  • Will travel as required to support business needs.
