Senior Dry Stack Tailings Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to oversee the dry stack tailings operation at a leading magnetite mining and processing facility in Western Australia.
- The ideal candidate will ensure safe and efficient operations, plant availability, and equipment utilisation in a fast-paced mining environment.
- The supervisor will drive safety, teamwork, and performance by enforcing site safety protocols, supervising mechanical fitters, electricians, and plant operators, and collaborating with other departments to balance maintenance priorities.
- The role involves identifying and addressing team competency requirements, working with site trainers to maintain a skilled workforce, and tracking team performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- The successful candidate will also oversee subcontractors within their area and contribute to strategic planning.
Requirements:
- A strong leader with technical expertise in fixed plant conveying and stacking.
- Proven supervisory experience in similar operations.
- An objective and fair approach to managing people.
- Skilled in planning, scheduling, and execution.
- Proficient in management systems, spreadsheets, and presentations.
- A strong knowledge of Western Australian mining legislation.
