Distribution Centre Manager Job Summary

This is a critical senior leadership role responsible for delivering high-quality services to Hospitals and Health Services (HHS) across the state.

  • The Distribution Centre Manager will provide strategic direction and vision for overall operational excellence and safety culture in the Distribution Centre, ensuring exceptional standards of customer service, operational efficiency, and cost effectiveness.

The ideal candidate will have expert technical knowledge of contemporary Distribution Centre and warehousing systems, including operating models, space utilisation, and materials handling solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute business strategy, operational planning, performance reporting, budget accountability, and client engagement.
  • Provide effective leadership and direction across the full breadth of Central Pharmacy Distribution Centre functions.
  • Ensure effective day-to-day performance of the Pharmacy Distribution Centre, directing, controlling, and coordinating all elements of Distribution Centre operations to meet key performance targets consistently.
  • Oversee management of all workforce-related activities in the Pharmacy Distribution Centre, including resource allocation, workforce planning, payroll, performance management, learning and development, recruitment, union consultation, and case management of workforce issues.
