Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Management: Lead the day-to-day operational management of all Café and Functions activities, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional customer service.
  • Food Quality and Safety: Ensure food ordering and presentation consistently meet customer expectations, offering a variety of tasty, nutritious, and high-quality food, while maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.
  • Team Leadership: Collaborate with the Village Manager to implement a marketing and special events plan to drive patronage, and lead regular team meetings to cultivate a high-performance culture.
  • Staff Management: Ensure staff are properly onboarded, understand their roles, and have the necessary training and equipment, promoting a customer service culture where customers are central to decision-making and service design.
  • Food Operations: Oversee food operations, including food safety, production and service, ordering, cost and quality control, and overall management, ensuring all standards, operating policies, and procedures are met consistently.
  • Communication: Establish effective communication forums to strengthen internal and external stakeholder relationships, promoting a culture of transparency and open communication.
Requirements
  • Experience: Current knowledge of Food Handling Legislative including HACCP requirements, experience in leading and managing catering operations, and experience in caring for the aged within a residential setting.
  • Qualifications: Diploma in Hospitality Management (preferable), and right to work in Australia.
  • Skills: Proficient verbal and written communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
