Job Title:

Pre-Construction Designer

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Pre-Construction Designer to join our team.

  • The role involves interpreting architectural and engineering plans and transferring this information into our computer-aided design software.
  • You will create detailed designs for residential timber framing projects.
Responsibilities:
  • Interpret architectural and engineering drawings for inputting into established computerised design systems to produce accurate manufacturing requirements.
  • Maintain detailing output levels, which are acceptable in terms of accuracy, volume and timeliness.
  • Maintain liaison with clients to ensure customer satisfaction with finished product.
  • Learnt advanced software programs and products as directed by the company.
Requirements:
  • A keen interest and passion for construction design.
  • Ability to read and interpret building plans.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good mathematical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong focus on delivering excellent client service.
