We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to lead the development of an in-house built electronic trading platform for interest rate swaps.

This is a senior, hands-on engineering role that demands deep expertise in Java, distributed systems, and financial market technologies, particularly in the fixed income and interest rate swaps trading domain.

The successful candidate will be responsible for architecting and scaling mission-critical components including RFQ workflows, pricing integration, trade execution logic, and dealer user interfaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Lead development of the electronic trading application for interest rate swap products.">
  • Architect and implement RFQ state machines, pricing event wiring, and override messaging logic to enable the application.">
  • Deliver full support for voice trading workflows, including integration with Straight Through Processing (STP).">
  • Drive industrialisation of the interest rate swap engine, managing timing issues and race conditions.">
  • Collaborate with quant teams to integrate core pricing models for short-end curve instruments and relative value analytics.">
  • Publish trade and curve data to analytics platforms for exposure.">
  • Lead engineering decisions on nested feeder curve implementations.">
  • Mentor engineers across UI, platform, and backend domains to ensure delivery quality and velocity.">

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience with interest rate swap market platforms and instruments.">
  • Strong understanding of pricing conventions and swap templates.">
  • Familiarity with AWS services, Kafka/EventHub, DevSecOps/CI/CD technologies, and modern SRE technology.">
  • Knowledge of quant libraries and risk analytics integration.">
  • Experienced in using AI to assist engineering efforts.">
