Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled engineer to join our project in the electronic trading space, focusing on the buildout of an Interest Rate Swap (IRS) platform.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on building components of the electronic Interest Rate Swap (eIRS) trading platform, assist in the development of RFQ state machines, pricing event wiring, and override messaging logic.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build key components of the eIRS trading platform.
  • Develop and support RFQ state machines, pricing event wiring, and override messaging logic.
  • Contribute to UI development for trading workflows and integration with MarkitWire for Straight Through Processing (STP).
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and quants to implement core pricing models and analytics.
  • Maintain and enhance microservices built with Java, Spring Boot, and AWS cloud services.
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Use Agentic AI tools to support and accelerate engineering efforts.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams in a squad-based delivery model.

Requirements

Proficiency in Java is essential. Familiarity with Spring Boot and REST APIs is highly desired. Proficiency in Angular (UI engineering) is also essential. Experience with Agentic AI Tools in software development is required.

A strong understanding of software engineering principles and Agile methodologies is necessary. An interest in financial markets and trading systems is also essential. Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS preferred) is highly desired, as well as familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.

Candidate Profile

As a detail-oriented engineer with a passion for building scalable systems, you will thrive in an Agile environment. You enjoy working on both front-end and back-end code and are eager to learn from senior engineers in a collaborative team. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required, along with 1-3 years of professional software development experience.
