About the Role

Flinders New Venture Institute is seeking a Community Engagement and Growth Officer to play a key role in strengthening relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will support community-building activities, coordinate engagement initiatives, and identify collaboration opportunities within South Australia's entrepreneurial ecosystem.

This is an exciting opportunity to connect students, staff, mentors, and external partners, fostering a dynamic and vibrant community that promotes innovation and entrepreneurial mindset. As part of our team, you will work under the Team Leader, Community Engagement and Growth, to deliver this vision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the coordination and delivery of community engagement initiatives by planning and executing events, workshops, and activities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including students, mentors, staff, and partners, to foster collaboration and increase engagement.
  • Collaborate with the Team Leader and other senior staff to implement new initiatives, ensuring they align with broader team objectives and supporting continuous innovation in community engagement and growth.

  • A forward-thinking and growth-oriented mindset, with a focus on contributing to the development and success of the team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate great organizational skills, attention to detail, and independent judgment.
  • Experience in supporting outreach and engagement by creating materials that foster strong connections, such as newsletters, community updates, and relationship-building activities.
  • Proven ability to assist in the evaluation and improvement of engagement programs by gathering feedback, tracking participation, and providing insights.
