Medical Frontline Professional Role

The frontline professional will provide a first point of contact for patients, representing the practice as the initial impression.

Responsibilities
  • Meet and greet patients at the front desk, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Answer telephone calls and respond to patient enquiries in an efficient and sensitive manner.
  • Manage patient bookings, optimizing appointment slots to minimize wait times.
  • Inform patients of relevant preparation requirements, costing estimates, and concession card details.
  • Coordinate patient referrals as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
About You
  • Prior medical reception experience is desired but not essential.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, showing empathy and compassion towards patients.
  • Effectively prioritize tasks using time management skills.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely with patients and colleagues.
  • Work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Use keyboard skills for data entry into RIS systems.
  • Handle cash transactions securely.
  • Show commitment to ongoing professional development.
