We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Research Fellow to work on Artificial Intelligence in Education (AIED) and Educational Data Mining (EDM) projects.

Job Description

This role involves leading high-quality research initiatives in AIED and EDM, contributing to publications and research grant applications, supervising research students, and providing technical support across projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct cutting-edge research in AIED and EDM, leveraging expertise in machine learning, human-computer interaction, and data mining.
  • Develop and lead research projects, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to advance the field of education technology.
  • Supervise research students, guiding them in their academic pursuits and fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Provide expert technical support, ensuring seamless project execution and timely delivery.

Requirements:

  • PhD in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in top-tier conferences and journals in data mining/machine learning, AIED, and EDM, Human-Computer Interaction.
  • Strong technical expertise in data mining, data management, and machine learning.
  • Motivation to conduct interdisciplinary work, engaging with researchers from other fields and industry partners.
  • Experience in conducting research/scholarly activities under limited supervision and as part of a research team.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to publications, grant writing, and other project outputs.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (both written and oral).
