Research Opportunities in Human-Centred AI for Education

We are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to work on Artificial Intelligence in Education (AIED) and Educational Data Mining (EDM) projects with Professor Kalina Yacef. These projects explore how multimodal data from online platforms and sensor-based environments can be harnessed to enhance learning at scale.

  • About the Role
  • Conduct high-quality research, lead or contribute to publications and research grant applications
  • Play an active role in the supervision of research students (PhD and Honours)
  • Provide technical support across the projects

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • PhD (or near completion) in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Human-Computer Interaction
  • Demonstrated contributions to top-tier conferences and journals in data mining/machine learning, AIED, EDM, and HCI
  • Strong technical expertise in data mining, data management, and machine learning
  • Motivation to conduct interdisciplinary work and engage with researchers from other fields and industry partners
