Operational Supervisor Job Description

The Operational Supervisor role is a short-term opportunity to plan and prepare for the smooth operationalisation of a new multimillion dollar hub.

This exciting position will allow you to develop your skills in venue operations, OH&S and risk management processes and procedures. You will also have the chance to lead investigations into booking systems and benchmark fees for facility usage.

You will work closely with partners and internal staff to develop a governance structure that will guide the operations of the hub to achieve strategic outcomes.

  • Develop venue operations, OH&S and risk management processes and procedures.
  • Lead the investigation of booking systems that have the capacity for financial reporting.
  • Benchmark, review and finalise booking fees for the use of the facility's various spaces.
  • Review opening hours for the venue that meet the needs of the community, while also maximising efficiency.
  • Develop rostering and FTE requirements within defined budgets to support the operational needs of the hub.
  • Work with partners and internal staff to develop a governance structure that will guide the operations of the hub to achieve strategic outcomes.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Ability to strategically manage budgets including accurate forecasting.
  • Ability to strategically plan for operations that achieve strategic outcomes.
  • Ability to write policies, process maps and reports relevant to the operations of a community or commercial facility.
  • Experience preparing for or managing a multipurpose community hub or similar venue, or equivalent commercial facility.
