Job Title: Academic Lead for Inclusive EducationAbout the Role:

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing leadership and support to students, staff and parents within the Disability Unit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Development: Provide educational programs and support to students with disabilities in collaboration with other teachers and support staff.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, staff and parents from diverse backgrounds.
Requirements:
  • Applicants must have relevant teaching experience and qualifications, particularly in special education or inclusive education.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to diverse needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a similar role or with students with disabilities, preferably in a school setting.
  • Knowledge of curriculum and assessment requirements, including modifications for students with special needs.
Selection Criteria:
  1. Relevant teaching experience and qualifications in special education or inclusive education.
  2. Ability to build strong relationships with students, staff and parents.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to diverse needs.
