Job Title: Engineering Operations ManagerJob Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the Maintenance and Engineering functions, ensuring the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of guests while safeguarding the owner's investment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide a professional advisory and support service to assist in meeting strategic goals.
  • Plan and carry out preventative maintenance to maintain standards for a positive guest experience.
  • Manage and control the Maintenance Request System and analyze frequent guest or property issues.
  • Delegate general repairs and maintenance to the engineering team or contractors as required.
  • Champion resource management improvements and conservation.
  • Test fire alarms, emergency lighting, etc., on a routine basis as required by local Council and Fire Service.
  • Liaise with Directors regarding use of contractors, controlling expenditure, and ensuring work meets company and manufacturer specifications.
  • Ensure cost-effective and hygienic removal of rubbish and monitor areas for cleanliness and odour.
  • Liaise closely with front desk and housekeeping regarding 'down' rooms to expedite a quick turnaround.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Engineer (preferred)
  • Proven experience as a Chief Engineer/Facilities Manager or similar role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of building systems (Electrical, HVAC, Mechanical, etc).
  • Knowledge of health & safety practices and regulations.
  • Knowledge of Australian Standards related to facilities management.
  • Body/Owners Corporation Experience.
  • Strong project management experience.
