
Nurse Specialist Refugee Care Provider

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Clinical Nurse to join the Refugee Health team at Perth Children's Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse who can provide advanced clinical expertise to ensure safe, evidence-based, and family-centred care.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of four years' experience in a similar role and be eligible for registration in the category of Registered Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA). A willingness to learn and embrace the unique challenges and rewards of paediatric nursing is essential.
Key responsibilities include coordinating safe and efficient outpatient care with medical, nursing, and allied health teams, streamlining hospital and community appointments for children with complex needs. The nurse will also collaborate with community health services and partner organisations to deliver holistic, patient-centred care.
To be considered for this position, applicants must have excellent communication skills, including teaching, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. They must also be able to function effectively in a multidisciplinary team and demonstrate a proven ability to work with interpreters and advocate for the needs of children and families.
This is a fixed-term part-time appointment until 30 June 2026 at 30.40 hours (0.4 FTE) per fortnight, with the possibility of extension. - Providing clinical leadership by modelling best practice.
- Supporting staff development and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Eligible for registration in the category of Registered Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- Minimum of four years' experience in a similar role.
- Excellent communication skills, including teaching, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Able to function effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
