Job Description:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Vessel Operations Coordinator to join our team. As a Vessel Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating vessel operations from planning arrivals to berthing, loading, and departures in collaboration with all Port Stakeholders.
  • This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to ensure smooth port calls and build strong relationships with stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate vessel operations including arrivals, berthing, loading, and departures in collaboration with all Port Stakeholders.
  • Work independently and as part of a cohesive team to ensure task completion.
  • Stay informed about business opportunities, port activities, and regulatory updates to stay effective in duties.
  • Be prepared for out-of-hours and weekend work to ensure task completion.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • A self-motivated, results-driven individual with a passion for achieving excellence.
  • Prior experience or exposure to the Shipping Industry is advantageous but not necessary.
  • Attention to detail, administrative proficiency, and good computer skills are essential.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure, meet deadlines effectively, and approach challenges as opportunities for growth.
  • Safety, compliance, and wellness are paramount to success.
  • Valid Australian work permit, driver's license, and driving experience, along with eligibility for a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).
