We're seeking a seasoned Operations Leader to join our manufacturing business. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to take on a leadership challenge and drive performance, efficiency, and operational excellence.

  • ">
  • The role will involve leading production teams to meet key performance indicators (KPIs) in safety, quality, output, and cost.">
  • Maintenance of machinery and equipment is also crucial, including tractors, loaders, grinders, screen machines, terminal trucks, forklifts, and other plant assets.">
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and managing production plans, delivery schedules, and production processes.">
  • Collaboration with the inventory team is essential to ensure timely procurement of production components and raw materials.">
  • The leader will document and provide reports on forecasted production and delivery dates.">
  • Leading, motivating, and engaging teams across manufacturing, maintenance/engineering, and logistics to achieve individual, team, and site objectives.">
  • Fostering a culture of continuous improvement to ensure ongoing results and performance enhancement.">
  • Promoting a safety-first culture across the site, ensuring that workplace health and safety processes are in place, including induction, training, and safety programs.">
  • Driving excellence in safety performance, risk awareness, and compliance with safety regulations.">
  • Developing, tracking, and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) including labour optimization, overtime, overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), throughput rates, and inventory.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of operations leadership experience, with responsibility for leading manufacturing and logistics teams.">
  • Proven experience in manufacturing and logistics operations management, specifically in developing and building high-performing teams in a safe manner.">
  • Knowledge of concepts and methodologies relating to inventory management.">
  • Thorough understanding of production planning within a manufacturing environment.">
  • Strong continuous improvement background with a good grasp of sophisticated methodologies such as LEAN / Six Sigma and 5Y problem-solving tools.">
  • Good commercial acumen, able to understand and manage finances with the ability to identify key cost drivers in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.">
  • Strong communication, coaching, consultation, and negotiation skills with an ability to engage and influence internal stakeholders.
