About the Role

The organization is a pioneering Australian business that specializes in renewable energy management. With an impressive portfolio of over 3GWs, comprising mainly wind and solar power, we are at the forefront of the industry.

The role can be performed remotely from anywhere in Australia. Our team will provide all necessary equipment to ensure seamless execution.

  • Assist the energy spot market and plant operation team with day-to-day tasks
  • Monitor systems and auto-bidding software for optimal performance
  • Under defined guidelines, assist in re-bidding plant in the energy market and monitoring dispatch outcomes
  • Provide expert advice on market conditions and asset performance to clients
  • Support Operations Controllers and the Operations Manager in achieving operational efficiency
  • Analyze operational data from market information, plant, and weather data to inform regular and ad-hoc reporting
  • Facilitate intermediary services such as settlements and accounts
Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly analytical individual with excellent attention to detail. A background in energy trading or electricity generation operations would be beneficial but not essential. Key skills include:

  • A strong understanding of the National Electricity Market (NEM) and its key features
  • Ability to operate in a dynamic environment with evolving processes and systems
  • Strong decision-making skills, especially under pressure
  • A willingness to develop and adapt to shift roles, including night shifts and weekends
  • A passion for renewable energy and commitment to supporting Australia's transition to a clean energy future
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Exceptional spoken and written English skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Confidence in using IT systems and tools
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI, or comparable data analytics tools
  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently without supervision
  • Diligence and reliability in meeting deadlines and commitments
