Job Overview

The role of a Compliance Specialist involves ensuring adherence to regulations and laws within various industries across the state.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementation of statewide compliance programs within multiple sectors
  • Providing expert advice on matters related to hazardous materials, chemicals, and explosives to internal and external stakeholders, taking into consideration relevant legislation, national initiatives, industry standards, and professional expertise

About the Position

This role is accountable to a senior officer and operates under specific authorizations. The position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to hold a current Australian driver's licence (equivalent to minimum class C) and be willing to participate in an on-call roster. You must also pass a National Police Certificate clearance and ASIO security check.
