Renewable Energy Project Development Expert

The Hydrogen Development Manager will lead the development of renewable energy projects in Australia, aligning with the growth of the hydrogen industry. This role requires a deep understanding of the hydrogen market and renewable energy project development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management and Coordination: Overall delivery of projects through construction phase, coordination of internal teams, management of external consultants, and stakeholder relations.
  • Development Strategy and Assessment: Investigations into development constraints, strategic assessment of development issues, risk and opportunity management, and relationship building with stakeholders.
  • Landholder Liaison and Negotiations: Developing and maintaining trusting relationships with landholders, lease agreement process management, and addressing landholder/lease issues.
  • Commercial Development: Assessing technical and commercial viability of projects, identifying acquisition opportunities, and developing project reports and investment cases.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in the renewables energy sector (pre-construction phase) Solar PV and/or Wind.
  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering, town and regional planning, environmental planning preferred.
  • Experience assessing and developing emerging technologies and solutions.
  • Technical understanding of key processes for hydrogen production.
  • Strong project management experience in the renewable energy industry.
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team.

This is a challenging role that requires strong commercial and technical understanding, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder relationships.
