Museums Victoria is seeking a skilled Philanthropic Partnerships Manager to lead the cultivation and stewardship of major donors and philanthropic partners. This pivotal role will drive engagement and secure significant philanthropic support for the organization's programs, collections, and impact.

About the Position

As an integral member of our Development team, you will contribute to the sustainability and growth of Museums Victoria by playing a key part in achieving our mission to enrich lives through knowledge, storytelling, and discovery.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Proven success in philanthropic fundraising, including major gifts and preferably experience or interest in bequest fundraising.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, able to engage and inspire diverse stakeholders.
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset, with a knack for identifying opportunities and delivering creative solutions.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills, thriving in a fast-paced environment.
  • A genuine passion for arts, culture, and community impact.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Build and manage a portfolio of major donors and philanthropic partners, driving engagement and securing significant philanthropic support.
  • Support the implementation of Museums Victoria's bequest strategy, including identifying, cultivating, and stewarding prospective and confirmed legacy donors.
  • Develop personalised cultivation and stewardship plans to foster long-term, trust-based relationships.
  • Coordinate the development of impactful funding proposals and partnership pitches.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align donor interests with Museums Victoria's priorities and ensure outstanding project delivery.
  • Support the planning and execution of high-level donor events, meetings, and site visits.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting of donor interactions and bequest activity in CRM systems.
