Biodiversity Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Biodiversity Officer to join our team on a 12-month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about conservation and has a strong background in ecology and biodiversity management.

Job Description
  • This role will involve providing strategic advice to inform biodiversity conservation policies and programs.
  • You will be responsible for undertaking ecological assessments of nominated sites to inform development assessment processes.
  • Your expertise will be used to recommend and implement enhancements to Council policies with regard to ecology and biodiversity conservation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in Ecology, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Planning, or Environmental Science.
  • Senior Biodiversity Officer (Ecologist) experience.
  • Practical experience and detailed knowledge in ecology, wildlife management, botany, and other relevant fields.
