Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled data center technician to join our team. As a data center technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the operational integrity of our critical infrastructure.

You will perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs within a data center operation, ensuring the seamless operation of critical systems.

Oversight of electrical and mechanical systems, including but not limited to: Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, generators, chillers, Electrical Distribution, HVAC systems, Building Management Systems (BMS) systems, and CMMS Work Dispatching.

This position is part of the Critical and Technical Services function, focusing on delivering technical maintenance services in high-stakes client environments.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician/NSW License Non restricted
  • Must be an Australian Citizen - NV1 vetting clearance
  • Training in a technical discipline, having completed an apprenticeship or equivalent, with 2-4 years of job-related experience. A combination of experience and education will be considered in lieu of a diploma.
  • Ability to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the role.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively present information to internal departments, clients, management, and colleagues.
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
  • Basic math skills, with the ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and precision in all aspects of work.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with general maintenance and repair practices, including hands-on experience with power tools, electrical work, painting, and other related trades.
