Dual Diagnosis Care Professional

**Role Overview**
We are seeking a skilled Dual Diagnosis Specialist to work in a community-based setting, providing direct interventions and referrals to relevant services.
The successful candidate will work with individuals who have co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, using strengths-based and therapeutic approaches to reduce the frequency and severity of mental health crises and high-risk substance use.
This is an exciting opportunity for a compassionate and outcomes-driven professional to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable adults.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop evidence-based responses to complex issues faced by people experiencing homelessness.
- Providing direct interventions and conducting structured and semi-structured counselling sessions.
- Referring clients to relevant services and supporting them to access essential resources.
**Essential Requirements**
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- At least 2 years' experience working with clients with multiple and complex needs.
- Demonstrated experience working in a community-based setting.
- Knowledge and understanding of homelessness, housing, and health sectors (including mental health and substance use).
