Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Fitter to join our clients dynamic team.

About the Role

As an Industrial Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of production machinery, minimizing downtime and optimizing machine performance. Your primary focus will be on performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failure and ensure smooth production processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on production machinery and equipment to prevent breakdowns and minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues, identifying root causes and implementing solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance to identify potential problems before they impact production.
  • Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks and achieve production goals.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and part replacements.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Trade qualification as a Fitter, Mechanic, or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a maintenance fitter role, preferably within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and a good understanding of plant machinery and equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis and prevention.
  • A commitment to safety and a strong understanding of safety protocols.
  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, as well as automated machinery, is highly desirable.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is between $60,000-$80,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
