Key Responsibilities:
\Collaborate with teams at all levels to ensure the highest availability and efficiency of digital and technology services.
\Manage the budgeting process for local technology infrastructure needs, including forecasting and support/maintenance renewal.
\Communicate business-critical metrics to senior management and the global technology executive team.
\Provide guidance and advice to operational and production teams on technology challenges.
\Effectively communicate project progress and raise awareness of technology innovation.
\Team Leadership:
\Own the planning and prioritizing of Technology team resources across Infrastructure Operations, Systems Infrastructure, Technical Operations, and Editorial.
\Ensure effective use of staff time and skills, empowering your team to deliver clarity about their responsibilities and contribute to resource planning activities.
\Ensure teams are well-balanced and have access to the correct technical skills to succeed.
\Encourage controlled innovation in the delivery of both technology and support processes.
\Problem Solving:
\Cordially arrange wider technical expertise to focus on Incident and issue management.
\Work collaboratively to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to the technology stack.
\Technical Understanding:
\Provide technical leadership and direction at a studio level, encouraging controlled innovation and improvement in data systems, processes, and workflows.
\Lead on the technical aspects of business continuity and security for optimization of infrastructure and support services.
\Proactively utilize monitoring tools to forecast technology areas requiring support, optimization, or innovation.
\Requirements:
\Management and leadership experience in a technology role similar to an organization or business unit.
\Hands-on experience of agile delivery management with mixed teams of in-house and external resources.
\Experience of successfully building, managing, and motivating multidisciplinary in-house technical teams.
\Experience of technology operations management and the use of new technologies to improve cost effectiveness and performance.
\Experience of managing technology-enabled change projects.
\Experience of setting up and managing outsourced contracts for delivery and development of technology solutions and services.
