We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team at Fortescue's Eliwana mine. The successful candidate will support the mobile maintenance fleet with planned and unplanned line boring tasks on a variety of earthmoving components.
- Setup and operation of machining tools and equipment.
- Complete minor welding and fabrication tasks as required.
- Use liquid nitrogen for the assembly and fitting of various components.
- Maintain and troubleshoot boring equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to identify and resolve equipment issues.
The ideal candidate will have a nationally recognised trade qualification, high regard for safety, and significant post-trade experience with heavy earth moving equipment.
