Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Diesel Fitter to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing servicing, repair, and maintenance of large-scale mining equipment.
This is a permanent full-time position with an even-time, lifestyle roster.
About the Role:
The Heavy Diesel Fitter will be working in a dynamic environment, maintaining good housekeeping standards at all times.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Servicing, Repair, and Maintenance: Perform routine servicing, repairs, and maintenance of heavy earth moving equipment as directed in accordance with servicing and maintenance systems documentation.
- General Maintenance: Complete general maintenance, breakdowns, services, and component change outs to a high standard.
- Troubleshooting: Source technical information from relevant reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM, and computer-based systems to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Inspections: Conduct regular inspections to maximize equipment utilization and reliability.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Certificate III in Heavy Diesel Fitting or equivalent qualification.
- Post-trade experience working in the mining or heavy earth moving industry.
- Experience in general maintenance, breakdowns, component change outs, and servicing of heavy earth moving equipment.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
