Speech Pathologist Opportunity

Fully funded by the government to deliver holistic treatment for patients in regional Queensland, you will be working with specialists across a diverse range of health concerns. This is a unique opportunity to make a real and valuable contribution to rural communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer standardised and informal assessments to determine the nature and extent of speech, language, learning and communication disorders or swallowing difficulties.
  • Provide treatment and management including ongoing therapy of speech, language, learning and communication disorders that may be developmental, part of a disability, acquired as a result of injury or disease; and deliver family centred early childhood intervention strategies.
  • Collaborate with specialists to provide comprehensive care and long-term treatment and prevention strategies.

Requirements:

  • You will need to be registered, or eligible to obtain, Speech Pathology Australia registration and have a passion for providing quality healthcare to rural communities.
  • In addition, you will need or be eligible to obtain: a QLD blue card & NDIS worker screening, a current, unrestricted 'C' class Australian Driver's Licence; and the right to live and work in Australia.
  • A 'C' class Driver's License (manual preferred) is also an essential requirement.
