Aboriginal Health Professional Role

We are seeking a dedicated Aboriginal Health Professional to facilitate effective and culturally capable services for Indigenous women and their families accessing maternity care.



About the Position

The primary objective of this role is to:

  • Develop and utilise resources efficiently
  • Prioritise work effectively
  • Maintain safety standards and procedures
  • Monitor occupational health and safety regulations
  • Mentor other healthcare professionals
  • Prepare reports and statistics

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care (HWF3.1-HWF3.5)
  • Diploma of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care (HWF3.2-HWF3.7 or HWF3.8)
  • Under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community
