Job Title

Ambitious professionals are sought to fill a challenging role as Ramp Duty Manager.

Reporting directly to the Airport Operations Manager, the ideal candidate will be a seasoned airport professional with extensive experience in managing high-performing teams and driving exceptional service delivery.

The successful applicant will possess excellent leadership skills, including the ability to direct and empower individuals, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster cohesive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive team performance to meet or exceed Service Level Agreements and ensure adherence to safety and compliance standards.
  • Proactively manage employee relations, providing guidance and feedback to staff and identifying training gaps for future upskilling opportunities.
  • Maintain a collaborative and inclusive work environment where employees feel valued and empowered to learn and grow.
  • Manage aircraft delays, staffing shortages, and daily resourcing to optimize efficiency and minimize costs.
  • Ensure rostering practices align with Enterprise Agreement requirements.
  • Encourage a reporting culture to prevent safety threats and mitigate workplace incidents and accidents.
  • Foster effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in airport Ramp operations for a Ground Handler and/or Airline.
  • Thorough knowledge of Virgin Australia and Bonza product on Ramp.
  • Leading Hand certification.
  • Proven track record of managing high-performing teams.
  • Willingness to participate in professional development programs offered by the Company.
  • Exceptional leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
